M.Ed.

Profile of the Department
The Department of Biochemistry was started in 1993 to foster knowledge on the subject and to teach at the post-graduate level. The department was initially coordinated by the department of Botany and came into existence as a separate department in the year 2002. Now the department is housed in the fourth floor of the Arrupe library building. It is one of the first independent Departments of Biochemistry in India. Since its inception, the department has trained over 400 Biochemists – many of whom are occupying prestigious positions all over the world. At present, the department is offering Post Graduate program in Biochemistry and is preparing to introduce M.Phil in future.
