Guidance and Counselling Cell

The Guidance and Counselling Cell was initiated with the aim of providing services to students and to journey with them in their lives by helping them build more resources within themselves, remove barriers that hinder their growing potential and feel more equipped to find their way in the world.
The Guidance and Counselling Cell caters to diverse socio-economic challenges, specific emotional needs, psychological needs, also the social, and cultural barriers of the heterogeneous cluster of learners. Members of the Guidance and Counselling Cell provide individual counselling at the College as well as online Counselling Services. The counsellors pay attention to each client compassionately and channel them to subsume with their tribulations through reflection and self-awareness. The cell guides the students of the College to enhance their overall personality and ensures that every student-teacher wears a smile on her face after the counselling session.
The objective of the Maharana Pratap College is not only to provide quality education to the students but their overall development. To achieve this objective the Institute has established a Guidance and counselling cell help the students in solving their personal, educational, social as well as psychological problems. It is rendering service to students within the college and outside. Students are guided not only in selection of subjects but further studies, job avenues, personal and social problems. Career counselling cell of the college has good collection of books on competitive exams, placement services and other allied information.

Objectives of Counselling Cell

Guidance and Counselling Cell

Many consider teaching to be one of the noblest professions in India. In order to enter into a teaching profession at the school level, it is necessary to have a B.Ed. course. The B.Ed. syllabus is designed to help the candidates not only gain knowledge about the different teaching methods but also gain the other soft skills such as counseling to understand the psyche of the students. B Ed course is an important criterion to fulfil, for the aspirants who are looking forward to get teaching jobs. B Ed syllabus primarily covers topics such as teaching methodologies, educational psychology, educational technology, curriculum development, and classroom management.
A candidate seeking admission to 2-year B.Ed. course has to qualify at the B.E d. course has to qualify at the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test conducted by the State Government for the respective academy year. The candidates will be admitted strictly in accordance with the rank secure in the entrance examination, keeping in view the rules and regulations in force in respect of statutory reservation of seat to different categories of students
